The machine is designed for initial or final washing of root vegetables (carrots, parsley, parsnips, potatoes, beetroot etc.). The washer is located upstream the brush peeler or downstream the steam peeler in the production line.
PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION
Vegetables are fed onto the inclined chute, from where they fall gravitationally into the machine drum. Inside the drum vegetables are sprayed with water and the drum rotation results in the rubbing of vegetables and their thorough cleaning. The process is additionally supported by the brushes installed at half working length of the drum. The process water is cleaned on the arc dirt scraper or optionally on the sieve bend (this solution is not used for carrots).
