FRUIT STONE RUBBING MACHINE
The device is designed to rub the stones of fruits such as cherries, in order to recover the flesh and juice left after the pitting process.
After selecting the appropriate type of sieve drum, it can be used for rubbing strawberries, raspberries, etc., in order to obtain a seedless fruit pulp.
The result is two products, one in the form of fruit pulp and the other in the form of cleaned seeds that can be used for other purposes.
The stones (or fruit) are fed to the hopper, from where they fall into an inclined drum covered with a perforated sieve. A set of slat brushes, installed on the shaft passing through the drum’s axis, rotates rapidly on its internal cylindrical surface. During this movement, the raw material is pressed by the brushes against the walls of the drum, rubbing against its surface and hooking onto the edges of the holes. The grated seeds fall out of the discharge at the front of the machine, while the fruit pulp flows to the outlet under the device, where it can be collected in a suitable container.
