The device is designed for washing root vegetables such as carrots, parsley, parsnips, potatoes, beetroots, etc. It is placed in line in front of a brush peeler and a steam peeler.

The vegetables are fed into an inclined hopper, from where they fall into the drum of the device by gravity. Stones are caught in the drum, and then removed with the help of appropriate pockets. They are directed to the chute. The product to be washed goes to a semicircular trough, where it is transported towards the discharge by means of blades.

The impurities (sand and other non-floating elements) sediment at the bottom of the tank, and from there they are pulled out by a scraper chain conveyor.

Capacity is up to 7 t/h, depending on the product.
